Goals

The Chintimini Wildlife Center has set these goals and objectives for the organization:

To provide the treatment and care necessary to return injured, orphaned, or sick wildlife to their natural habitat.

To provide public education to enhance awareness of and appreciation for the environment.

To educate in two ways:

  1. Encourage basic ecological literacy--help people understand how the natural world works, what biological ecosystems are, what biological diversity means, how all of life is interdependent.
  2. Provide real-world feedback through case histories showing the ways humans impact wildlife and wildlife habitats.

We strive:

To give people an avenue through which they can express their value of life and the natural environment by providing humane, skilled care to wild animals.

To provide a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, and network with other rehabilitation facilities on the state and national levels.

To provide a place where concerned people can bring injured or orphaned wildlife, or call with their wildlife questions.

To be involved in research on wildlife diseases.
