The
only marsupial in North America, opossums are similar to raccoons in that they
are omnivorous and opportunistic. Attracted by the same situations that attract
raccoons, opossums can be easily deterred through habitat modification. Just
like with raccoons, removing food and shelter will keep opossums from becoming
a problem.
